Hello,
I'm looking for someone, or a couple of people who want to be farmers but don't have any land. I have access to 6 acres of land in north Florida, about a mile from the Georgia border. I've been given permission to do whatever I want to the land and the structures on it. It is currently partially fenced, and has three buildings. Unfortunately it has been badly neglected and vandalized, so there is no running water or electricity, it's overgrown with weeds (though I don't think that will be a problem for permaculture), and I wouldn't vouch for the livability of any of the buildings.

The buildings include a mobile home, a small barn, and a storage shed. The roofs seem to be good on all the structures (though I'm no carpenter), but the floors need work, and things are a bit of a mess. All of that to say that I have access to some very usable land, that is in sad repair. But, I don't have the money to repair it right now. I have just enough money to buy seeds, some chickens, and a few basic hand tools, and still be able to make it till crops start coming in. While I would prefer a full partnership, with a written contract, where we would invest equally in the little bit of startup materials needed, I would be able to get off the ground if I found someone who wanted to help but has no money.

If you are interested, you'd need to provide your own shelter and food until crops start coming in. You could risk living in one of the buildings if you wanted, or camp on the property. You would also have to be willing to live and work under some pretty primitive conditions. You would be a full partner in the farm. While I have some plans for how I would like it to be, I'm pretty flexible, and would include you in decision making. You would also get an equal share of profits of course.

My problem has been, that while I have the land needed to start farming, I have very limited finances, and I'm only one person. I need someone to share the workload most of all, but preferable also the financial burden of the first few months. I have worked on farms before, and know what it takes to get from seed to market. I also have a fairly good idea of what I'm facing in terms of finances. I'm looking for someone who's as passionate about farming as I am, and is willing to do the work and make the sacrifices in terms of living conditions and such in the beginning. I would prefer someone who has farm experience, but am willing to consider someone who doesn't. Though if you have no experience with hard physical labor, you're going to have to convince me that you are passionate about farming.

I'd really love to find someone who's loves growing things as much as I do, and just needs the space to do it in. I hope there are people out there who share my dream.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you have any questions, or are interested, let me know.
