I live in a zone 5 or 4 climate in colorado, and i'm starting a garden at my friends place. We want to eventually create a permaculture forest garden. I would love to participate in this movie. I would definitely make 1 200 sq ft annual plot and another 200 sq foot perennial spot. This sounds doable.

I would expand it every year after this initial experiment and I would be HONORED to be featured in your movie.

As for titles, here's a few options

"from dirt to abundance"
"The bountiful patch: organic 200 ft^2 gardening project"
"Cultivating Caloric Wealth"

I have friends who have alpacas, and our school has alpacas, and if they would help us out with alpaca poo, i would want to use that. but if that's not allowed then FINE!!!

How would we get the footage to you? I have a youtube channel i can upload stuff onto, but then if you are to use it in a movie i'd have to take it down because youtube doesn't allow double footage to exist, i think. That's fine, of course.

Update! I moved out of my skoolie, I'm living in Arvada, found a boyfriend through that profile screenshot: hinge, he's not a permaculture enthusiast, But neither am I at the moment. Just a house plant hobbyist... We are working out well and I think it's going places. We shall see how my life unfolds in terms of ecovillages, but I'm working on living in Arvada right now, for at least seven more years until my son graduates high school. Maybe I'll make enough money as a pilot to buy some land and retire as a permie homesteader. In the meantime I am doing the most unsustainable thing of studying how to be a pilot and teaching people how to fly and consuming lots 110 LL AVGas . sorry earth. I'll brb as the world burns.

I'm trilingual too! German japanese and english. We have a skoolie we live in during non pandemic times in the Golden area for the purpose of Montessoris schooling. Let me know when/if you make the move. We are going to go on a road trip in 7 weeks north, west, to the Bay area and then back for school in fall.

I read all the ringing cedars books and loved them. It was hard to believe all the magical stuff happening but I still enjoyed it and was inspired by it. The author writes it as if everything happened for real, but some of it is too magical to believe. I'll believe it when I see it. However, I still do soak seeds in my mouth before I sprout them to send them my genetics. I haven't watched any of the videos you posted because I don't feel like watching videos at the moment but figure if I comment on this thread then I will have it saved in my history so I can check it out later :)

Hi! I'm in Summit county and jefferson county. Where in Colorado are you?  Your picture is funny. I have a cat, and have always had cats. Then I had a son, and he is now almost eleven, and I'm getting him a puppy in two weeks. He had been waiting and wanting since he was 4 and met a cool chihuahua.

I've not been able to purchase land, always choosing low paying but gratifying jobs. I hope to change that and am saving up. I hope to have a tiny home community with gardens and opportunities for the disenfranchised or single moms. I would have joined a good community if I had found one back then. But I moved in with my mom and dad instead and re parented myself.

I used to be in maryland and in the primitive skills communities, but haven't been in that community since moving here in 2017. Life...

I love skinning up and sliding down, and I love making music in this mountain town here. Don't mind the tourists, and do mind the hatred and divisiveness against tourists and political parties.

I'm responding because I'd love to meet permies in Colorado.

marshmallow root pieces (1 tbsp) steeped in 1 cup of water overnight are good hair rinse for conditioning and doesn't smell like vinegar. Marshmallow root gel can be used as anti frizz if you have curly hair, or Flax seed gel for making your curls nice.

I've heard of rice water left to ferment for a day is a starchy rinse good for making hair grow faster and longer and retail color into old age but that's just a rumor and old wives tail that hasn't been studied.... Just japanese lore. But maybe I'll try it since I make a lot of rice.

I was blessed with some alumni mail not intended for me from CU boulder and read this awesome article whereby a professor at cu boulders department of civil, environmental, and architectural engineering (ceae) is working to make living bricks out of single cell organisms, cyanobacteria, mixing their microbes with a mix of sand and gelatin (hoofs or seaweed?) And then nudge them to produce calcium carbonate, becoming very hard bricks. They can also reproduce, so one day we could receive sacks filled with ingredients and start making living bricks.

Professors names are Wil Srubrar, jeffrey cameron of biochemistry, Sherri cook, and Mija Hubler.

"Nature has figured out how to do a lot of things in a clever and efficient way. We just need to pay attention."

If you have any other innovative green building news, post below! The last time I heard of something exciting like this was growing homes or furniture out of living Willow! It takes a few years, but it's neat.

I always think of Cattail for cleaning water.
It's also useful food and material.
