Hey friends. I just posted this simple vermiculture idea and interested in your thoughts and feedback (posting there welcome too).

My criteria for this build was:
1. Gaining growing space (not losing) with the addition of a worm farm into my wicking beds (precious real estate!)
2. All the benefits of vermiculture automatically fertilising my wicking beds
3. Embody my ethos of using repurposed materials

Let me know what you think.

Cheers. Graaly.

Jay Angler wrote:Lovely video. I love that it was actively working on building community and human connections through working together!

I also approve of the 2 small sheds being used to support the solar panels. Small buildings really benefit from outdoor storage spaces for things like garden furniture, extra plant pots, and my favorite - bicycles!

Thanks Jay. Bicycles are pretty great haha!

Heya Permies. I just completed my doco Grounded By Design. It's pitched as an introduction to Earthships but hopefully it can also be enjoyed by those who are already familiar with the concepts etc. I worked REALLY hard on it (I'm just a one man band) so I REALLY hope you like it!!! Hopefully it can be viewed and enjoyed by as many people as possible. If you think it's worth sharing, please do so and give it a like or comment or whatever, which will push it to more people in youtube land. Thanks so much, but above all, please just enjoy

Some great tips thanks. Appreciate the input. Hadn't thought about diluting the nutrients. Thanks heaps.

Robert Ray wrote:I am a big fan of wicking beds. 105 degree weather yesterday and even with fans and shade cloth those beds in greenhouse that are non wicking suffered. My outside wicking beds displayed the same, wicking bed plants standing tall non wicking a little sad. Same weather forecast for today, I'll upload some photos tonight to show the difference. My Kratky barrel experiment seems to be the same as the wicking beds resistant to the heat.

Cool Robert, woo wicking beds are great aye. Yeah post ya pics mate. Cheers!
