Hi Daphne,
You wrote a great post! You mentioned that people should message you directly so hopefully you've gotten plenty, but just in case I wanted to make sure that I (an old person:) and everyone else on permies tell you that it's great you have so many permaculture, homesteading, foraging, etc. interests at a young age. Way to go! I hope you make lots of connections.

Hi Josh,

How's your winter going? I just wanted to touch base. You responded to a post I wrote on permies, this summer, so I thought I'd check in and see how things are going. I'm bopping around Santa Fe, at the moment, scoping out different areas where I might want to live. From your post, it sounds like you probably left Colorado for the winter, but I figured I'd still reach out seeing as there's a good chance I'll check out your neck of the woods eventually.

I had a few questions:
-Do you have a water source on your property (well, stream, pond, etc.) or do you transport it in?
-About how much snow does the area get in the winter?
-What is your policy on hunting, if you have one? I'm not a gun wielding crazy. I prefer a bow, but I do believe in living off the land if there is enough game in an area for sustenance hunting.

I enjoyed reading your post and admire your attitude towards sharing your land.

Take good care,
Chris John

Great post Christina!
So well written. It's inspiring to know that there are ladies like you out there. Thank you.

Haha Laurenthia,
I like your enthusiasm. Thank you for reaching out. The Puget Sound is beautiful. You're lucky to have land in such a special place. If I make it that far west, I'll certainly let you know. Good luck with what you're creating.
Hi Emma,
Thanks for any NM farm contacts. That'd be great.
Yes, I'm the same person, but I'm not her Chris, haha. She's the nice older lady who I've been renting some land from to park my tiny house. You must be the Emma who was considering parking your tiny house here, too. I hope you find a good spot! Sorry our paths didn't cross when you visited. Travel safe if you decide to relocate, too!
Thank you, Richard. I'm sure there's a lot I, or anyone, can learn from a community that's been living cooperatively for that long. I briefly looked over the East Wind website. I'm going to sit down and read it all more thoroughly and certainly let you when I get closer to that part of the country well in advance. Thanks for reaching out and offering a potential short visit pitstop. It's greatly appreciated. I'd love to chip in and do some work while I'm there if that's a possibility.
