Hey thanks for your reply. I think you were right about it being a Gravenstein because it was the apples began to drop about a week or 2 later after posting this last summer. Because the tree is still pretty young I didnt get any this year, all the the blossoms just wilted. on my 4 variety grafted tree, only the goodland apples produced fruit this year. Is that common for apple blossoms to dry up and not set fruit on a younger tree?

Does anyone know what kind of apple this is? I'm thinking its a Gravenstein because of the green with red stripes. It also looks similar to Northern Spy

I purchased this grafted 4-1 apple tree from the Home Depot. The tag on this branch came off before I brought it home. The other 3 varieties grafted onto the tree are September Ruby, Goodland and Red Mcintosh. I went back to the Home Depot this summer and I noticed they were selling Gravenstein apple trees which I had never heard of before and when I looked it up, the Gravenstein seems very similar to the apples I have growing.
