We live in Kempner Tx area and are now fixing to go into our 3 rd spring/summer with them outside in raised hutches. During the winter I will enclose most all the sides except the bottom of course and the when it starts getting warm I remove all the covering I put up around the sides. We do put frozen water bottles in their hutches on very hot days and I do use a large shop fan to at least provide some air at them. When I built the hutches I did have their roofs hang over several feet to help with some shade and I built them right behind a building to get them afternoon shade too. This yr I will put up shade over them using old trampoline frames.
