I love up cycling in fashion. I recently made a jacket that would normally cost $5000 that was made popular by famous rapper/designer Kanye West.
I simply thrifted a shirt and some bandana and spent some days sewing it together. Upcycling brings creativity and will have a huge impact in the fashion industry I believe since Fashion is a major pollution actor unfortunately.
