I use Google Sheets to keep a log of interesting plant species and details collected over time, and a large Pinterest account with visual plant pictures. I refer to these when I'm planning my garden or at a nursery picking out plants.
Then I also have a Google Doc for my community garden plot with a section per year noting exact cultivars, when and where planted, and notes on the yields and taste. I also take photos over time from the same vantage point so I can swipe through and see my garden grow during the year, as well as a lot of detail photos for reference. My Instagram contains a much smaller set of my favorite moments so I can scroll back through the years and share with family & friends.
I'm not happy with my current scattered workflow, so if you found a better way I'd love to hear a better solution!
