I am using all of Dr Leos equipment including the insulated bee hives, only issue so far is keeping the bees alive through the bitter cold. This winter I added insulation to the lids plus some foil insulation under the wool pillow that sits on top of the frames but still lost some colonies when the last winter storm came through which is frustrating. Next winter I will experiment with some other ideas or maybe try a different horizontal box from another manufacture.

I made a craigslist post in the wanted section when I needed some wool for my bee hives, someone sold me 3 huge contractor trash bags full for super cheap.
