Have had a Ph-6 on my boat for 15 years, and really like it. It’s been flawless. One does need to understand several things though. A fresh water pump that cycles on and off won’t work. As the pressure goes up and down, the flame goes on and off, then blows itself out. Our “constant flow” water pump solved that. Also, the incoming water temperature has a large effect on output temp. With city water this wouldn’t be an issue, but with a smaller marine water pump I sometimes couldn’t get enough cold water to cool the hot shower. I made a little gauge to turn the supply gas valve down a bit, so the burner doesn’t run wide open. Reasonably easy to install and I have a little steel “mushroom” vent on the deck.
