My parents had a 'weeping mulberry' near Flint Michigan that was prolific & easy to pick inside & out side of the fronds as the tree was topped at about 10-15'. (It served as my childhood playhouse complete with 'upstairs' - the rather flatish place where it had probably 'been grafted'... something an extension agent told my father after spotting a RED/BLK weeping mulberry tree. I have no idea what the stock was.) I took 3 green end front cutting & one rooted. Of course I do not have a 'weeping' tree - more like a bush. I'd LOVE to attempt grafting to recreate a weeping tree but have no idea what stock to use. (My father seemed to think the stock was a weeping willow, but I have no idea why he thought that.) Suggestions?
