I know.....I know.....
The same identical scat was left in my stairwell 2 days ago. Well 2 nights ago. The eve before I smelled a powerful skunk odor......boy, o boy was it bad. I live next to a levee system in a small town. I am on second story, 21 steps up and a wrought iron gate to enter the stairwell. The bottom opening is very small, but enough for a young 🦨 skunk to get underneath. Like I said there was the strongest of skunk odor the eve before. I woke the next morning and opened my door to check the mail and the very same sized scat.....black scat was half way up the steps.
I've seen deer, turkeys, squirrel and while walking on the levee just a mile down river I spotted a bobcat. I'm not surprised that a skunk made it to my steps.
