I am thinking about all the damage that AI is doing already and extrapolating forward another decade or two while also thinking about all the damage phones and social media have already done, and I’m not sure that I want to live my life that way. I know how to live a life on paper. I’m thinking about finding community among people who are also ready to give up the Internet and AI. I don’t have any illusions that very many people will be interested. But I know there must be other people out there who are also thinking the same thing. I prefer Northern California, but I’m open. I know it’s ironic to use the Internet to find people who don’t want to use the Internet and I don’t care. The idea of living without alcohol is also appealing. I’m not against using the internet once a week while visiting the local library, but I want it out of my life otherwise. I want to build friendships annd maybe raise kids among people with similar values. If this is a vision you share, please let me know.
