I have a 6 year old ewe half East Fresian and half Dorper, I need to retire her due to udder issues. I had hoped to let her live on, but my pasture isn’t enough. So, am considering turning her into mutton, wondering if anyone here has eaten a sheep that old, if it’s worth trying or not, and if I did, would it be best cut as stew meat?
