Recently built a yurt with a RHM inspired by the fisherman's daughter post. It's somewhat functional not nearly enough though. It's a 6inch system and I can't seem to close it much with out it choking then smoking in the yurt. In the book he talks about being able to close it only leaving a inch or two hole and that being enough air to pull in but for me it's more like 12 inches and it can't be more then 1/3 full. I'm close to pulling the barrel off I feel like the vermiculite we used as insulation could be clogging the barrel and affecting the draw. Anyhow does this seem like a lack of draw issue or something else?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
