i am using old tree pots to garden in also.this way i can get use of the same water twice as it goes threw from vegtables to tree roots.the  local tree cutters bring me free mulch too.they brought me about 12 loads so far.

Brenda i am doing the same thing.cleaning up my homestead of junk and making use of things and resources i have be in natural or man made goods.heres a few shots of what i got going on.

heres how i handle deer and bear troubles......a bear can really break over a small tree with a few apples on it.i seen a bear break down a 30ft tree that was maybe 6 inches at base and leave only a 10 to 15 ft snag....just to get a paper hornets nest.
this fence is very "hot".

thought ya'll might like the outdoor kitchen this fellow made.it would serve well  IMHO.he has a nice blog too.his book "tree house diaries" by Nick Wesston is real nice.its about living in a tree house and being a modern day hunter gatherer.hope you enjoy this.
