It seems that one of our nursing rabbits has an early stage case of mastitis on two of her mammary glands--they are warm and red on the tips. We've separated the doe from her 11 kits and are now scrambling to figure out how to (1) treat her mastitis and (2) and whether or not we need to hand feed her many little babies. The kits are just 5 days old. Any suggestions or stories of personal experiences with these issues would be much appreciated. Thank you!
