Howdy Folks~

I live in the highest mountains of southern Appalachia (western North Carolina) on a 25-acre homestead adjoining 18000 acres of National Forest. I have an abundance of gardens and orchards and woods for foraging food and medicine. I am a PhD ethnobotanist who taught for twenty-two years and now I give plant walks, provide botanical species inventories for landowners, and write (a lot). My typical day consists of writing for three hours or so in the morning and then gardening and other tasks. I am very creative and like to play guitar and sing old-timey ballads. An ideal woman for me would probably be in the 40-55 age range and a very earthy (and down-to-earth) girl who loves plants. Bonus points for being a creative type who loves to sing. However, those are just some loose parameters and I am open-minded. I have a couple of extra structures on the land that could be occupied and plentiful space for vanlife or camping. I would like a long-term relationship but would also be open to a spring-summer fling that was mutually beneficial and enjoyable. Also, if we got along but weren't compatible as partners, I would be open to someone(s) who wanted to help with gardening and learn a whole lot about plants.  6'5" 185 (fit).  jrveteto@gmail.com

I miss the old days when I would think up a sinister scheme for world domination and you would show a little emotional support. So just look at this tiny ad:
