I live in Boston and work in Waltham!
I'm interested in permaculture, but more interested in ecobuilding - cob in particular. I've been trying to find a "demo house" to go check out in our area. I might have to take a trek out to western MA at some point to do so because I can find exactly 0 information on anything nearer to Boston in the way of natural building.
I'm still in the beginning stages of exploring ecovillages and places of the sort. I love the idea, but somehow I'm more interested in starting something than hopping into an existing community effort. (Yes, I know that's surely the tougher way to go.) I've been looking into land prices to get something going and build my own little cob cottage, but I nor my girl make anything close to what it'd take to buy land up here. Furthermore, I'm attracted to the idea of a warmer climate and a year-round growing season.
So I guess I'm mostly in the exploratory stages, trying to find something in place and functional that I can peek my head into and ask some questions about, with a focus on the building and home design part of all this. Does ecobuilding resonate with you, or have you looked into it much?
Also mid-20's, btw, the both of us!
