I'm working on a plan to rotate chickens though a pasture.
The way I've always seen this done is a coop on wheels, and a mobile electric push-in net fence that is moved independently.
What I would like to do is make the coop and run a connected unit. This way I can move them more readily. (hook-up my tractor to the hitch, pull forward, done)
Right now im thinking of using a gutted travel trailer, with a connected run on conduit or 2x4 skids with electric net fence mounted on top. The unit would be light weight and I would keep it from becoming a parallelogram/breaking by tentioning it, corner to corner with wire.
So, my question is.
Has anyone done this, or seen this be done before?
What problems do you think I might run into?
