Whirled peas from Denmark (little lump of soil nort of Germany).
I have recently acquired an allotment garden about a fifth of an acre (800m2) containing only three apple trees and a lot of weeds.
It will take a couple of years till I can afford to build a small cottage there, but I'm very keen on building one of these rocket stoves. I am just a little in doubt whether I should build one out in the open, and then build the house around it afterwards. Or if I should wait until the house is finished. However, an outdoors rocket stove is going to be built at some point, in the attempt to make it heat up a glass furnace (there should also be room for creativity). If Anyone has an idea or knows someone who has, I would really appreciate it.
Now I've been watching a lot of videos on the internet and done a bit of reading also. However there seems to be som confusion about how to protect such a thingee against the rough weather here in the North (55th parallel) I could give it a plastering with sand and lime and paint it afterwards with silicate But I don't know if it will work on cob as well as it works on brick.
Does anyone have something to work with on this ?
