Hi, I'm starting to get parts together to build my own yurt...as cheaply as possible. The yurt handbook recommends finding coppiced wood but I'm in Portland, haven't seen this type of thing happening. But maybe I'm not looking in the right spot? Any suggestions on finding straight wood for the roof and structure cheaply. The lattice seems easier and I can probably just use trim pieces from the Rebuilding Center or something. help! thanks
