Hi all,
Sorry if my questions are not for this forum. I'm polar historian from Moscow, currently working on history of wind power in Russian Arctic. In 1932 one of the first wind generators was installed at our research base on Franz Josef Land. It was a slow speed windmill on the top of 10-meters tower, with "daisy"-type propeller. Looking very American on old photos!
This stuff was designed and produced by Perkins Windmills Co. Now I need any help! My questions:
1. Does modern Perkins Engines have any relation to Perkins Windmills?
2. Where can I meet anyone interested (and informed as well) in history of American windmills?
All best,
Dmitry
