I am using the FGDE on my whole house. I started room by room and moved all furniture to one side while I used a (it's like a veggie) duster on the clear side that is after I vacuumed first. Then moved all furniture back and did that side. I have put all pillows and mattresses in bedbug bags with FGDE in the bags. I have done both bathrooms and cleared out the bottom drawers and cabinets and dusted in there also.
I have the kitchen to do next and I will do the bottom drawers, cabinets, under the sink and last I will pull out the Refrigerator. I have not vacuumed any of the rooms since. I figure if the larva are there and hatch they don't stand much of a chance to live. I have not done any light experiments and I did use Advantage II on my cat while all this was going on. I have not seen him scratch and I am not giving him advantage ii next month. I will spray the front porch, back porch and yard for ants and fleas.
My question is that last room to be dusted was my bedroom/bathroom/closets on July 22. How long do you think the fleas could live under these conditions. I also dusted my furniture and in the family room I dusted the recliners and put new slipcovers on them. So my questions still stands? Does anyone have an idea how long the fleas would last under these conditions?
I used a bandana, nose/mouth filter, safety glasses and over that I used a face shield. So far my cat Blackie and I have been fine. To flea comb Blackie I probably wouldn't be able to see the fleas anyway considering his name.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You............Glenda & Blackie
