You may think everyone can come up with just $1 for a good cause, the problem is, you're not the only worthy cause. Everywhere I go, everything I do, someone ALWAYS has their hand out. Pan handling is legal where I live, so every corner has 1-4 people wanting $, everytime I open my email, there's MANY requests, even my grocery store has tear off tabs at the register to add $1-3 to your order, & their causes are always good.
I'm unemployed, with just my husband's income, deeply in debt after caring for my mom. I have to think long & hard before I'm willing to go yet $1 more in debt.
