Part of our land (in tropical, South India) is invaded by Mimosa pudica (Touch-Me-Not). What's the best way to keep them in check or smother them?

Does Tree Collard grow well in tropical and sub-tropical climates? Specifically, has anyone tried growing this in India / South East Asia?
