Makes sense, would distribute the weight that way. I might try my stone boat over the hatch. It needs to be something kind of thin but strong.

Any ideas on how to strengthen loft hatch so it can be driven over safely? Dropped a front tractor wheel down there once trying to spear a hay bale and don't want to repeat that. Need it to still function as I drop all my full hay nets down through there. Thank you
