The Low Technology Institute Offers Sustainability Skill Share Courses June 1 and 2. Registration is now open: https://lowtechinstitute.org/workshops/sustainability-skill-share/

Cooksville, WI – Want to learn a new skill that helps to sustain your life and our world? The Low Technology Institute offers you the opportunity through its new series of courses, the Sustainability Skill Share. On June 1 and 2, students of all ages will be supported in learning hands-on skills from veteran instructors and sustainable living experts in domestic, sustainable practices done without the use of fossil fuels. The institute is offering dozens of classes this year, including: beekeeping, wood carving, masonry, soap making, mushroom growing, seed saving, fabric dying, wool spinning, carpentry, scything, and much more.
“These Skill Share courses will teach those that attend valuable sustainable life skills while also engaging with a community passionate about conserving our ecosystem’s resources,” says Dr. Scott Johnson, founder and director of the Low Technology Institute.
The Skill Share will be held in historic Cooksville, WI – just 25 minutes from Madison and Janesville. In addition to the courses, there will be free social events including a folk music jam and documentary screening on Saturday evening. Farm-to-table restaurant Wendigo will offer meals for purchase. Camping and lodging are available in Cooksville, Stoughton, and surrounding areas. For a complete lists of the Skill Share courses, more information, and registration visit https://lowtechinstitute.org or email info@lowtechinstitute.org.
