Thank you for your response, Anne.

There does seem to be a large scab where his 'jewels' fell off.  I am wondering if the band caught a little too much skin, and it is uncomfortable now that they have come off.  Hopefully that is all that it is, and once the scab comes off the skin will stretch a little more.  He doesn't have a temperature, so we don't think it is an infection.  He is just not acting totally normal and seems to keep lifting his back legs and nudges that spot with his nose, so maybe it is itchy.  He is pooping and peeing normally.

Hi...we have Nubian cross goats.  One of our kids was banded.  He is 6 1/2 weeks old.  His 'jewels' fell off yesterday, and the site looks good, not red or inflamed.  A couple of days ago he started to act funny - not really eating,  and he keeps lifting his hind legs and putting his snout between his hind legs.  Could he have developed some sort of infection?  We have checked his eyes, checked his temp - (104, so maybe one degree over normal), checked for worms.  He seems to be urinating and pooping normally, although his mom is not letting him nurse as much.  He hasn't been eating much that we can see.  Is there something natural we can give him, in case he has developed an infection?
