Hello I have a rare situation occuring in my well here in Ohio. After recently testing the water I have high levels of naturally occurring CH4 (Methane). What I am looking to do is harvest the Methane from the water through aeration and store it in a tank. Has anyone done this? I look through and see BiOgas as an alternative but the well is naturally occurring.
What my plan is setting up an aeration tank where the water is stored and pumped into the house. Then the methane will be pulled through a fan to the exterior of the house into another tank. Of course over flow switches will be installed on both tanks to prevent busting or over filling.
Any suggestions?
