Slugs are horrid little things and I cannot deny that I have a terrible fear of them...I literally gag going near them. I have a small little garden and am trying to grow some vegetables and flowering plants but they are completely destroying them. There is no space for ducks and I live in an urban area where I cannot remember the last time I actually saw a beetle let alone a frog. However...I still cannot bring myself to killing them and I resort to just throwing them over into the empty space behind my house. Yes I know, that is just moving the problem and creating another imbalance...but what am I to do with this fear I have of them? Is there any other suggestions of how to reduce the slug population without murder (or atleast inhumane murder)?
