No I'm in Canada, on 10 acres living in a yurt in the forest, digging a walpini right now.

I've thought about the topic a lot though, as several years ago I was casually looking at a plot of land on Lamma Island but decided the challenges in HK to make a homestead was too difficult. But of course I still keep in touch with family and friends there.

Are you constrained to a traditional teaching approach? Have you considered an online course or just staring a youtube channel for instance?

Thats not me.... was the other commentor i think. my mandarin is garbage, I could probably assist someone who wanted to teach it in cantonese, i can speak decent enuf but I never actually attended a real pdc so i dont have the 'credentials'.

Personally i think reading and following the works of the masters online and via print ie Fukuoka, Mollisson, Lawton, Wheaton, etc is more than sufficient to start doing practical applications of permaculture.

hey Crystal,

have you tried connecting with local HK groups? Maybe you can find someone through contacting https://gogreenhongkong.com/about/ or some of the other local social hubs.

There are definitely people who've done PDCs in HK. Several years ago I visited a few organic farms in the new territories following some 'permacultural' practices, not sure if they still around though.  ie 有心機 zen Organic farm

gl, I'd be interested to know what you find. I've had friends ask me about a Cantonese/Chinese friendly PDC also but I've never seen anything.
