To Al Pine. I have a horizontal crack and deformity on the fireback of my 1979 resolute. Eventually a 2-in elliptical piece broke off and left me with a hole in the fire back. I furnace cemented it in, but that only lasted a few months. I do not want to use my stove with a damaged fire back, as I believe it is dangerous period what are your opinions? I found a refurbished resolute for $1,200. Is this a good deal?
