Since the new permies hosting & software went live I regularly encounter issues with the Login dialogs.
The first part (Enter email) - the entry field doesn't accept the email offered to be entered by macOS's password manager. Furthermore, it doesn't allow me to copy and paste my email into the field - manual entry only
The second part (Enter Password) initially fails to accept the proffered macOS Password's entry. but, then it does

Another item: when accessing Permies via links from permies daily-ish emails, the 'checking to see if you're a bot' screen automatically "checks' the user entry checkmark box (control) and proceeds to load the linked page...

Current system:

A couple of tips that helps (me) to remember names:

When first meeting someone, say their name (back to them) at least three times during that initial conversation. Afterwards, write their name down along with other 'identifying' information (e.g., where they work, where you met them, physical characteristics, etc.) - I'd also suggest hand-writing the name vs. 'thumbing' it into an e-device.

It seems to help the "remembering" to 'look 'em in the eye' when you say their names

Nice find!! It was fun paging through the American Homes and Gardens collection. One thing that caught my eye were all the ads for hand- and foot-powered machines (mostly for woodworking) - talk about off-grid tools!! - Like a lathe, scroll saw, and a “former / shaper” for only $15.00 each (appx. $562 in today’s dollars)

The featured homes brought back fond memories of my first apartment in the finished attic of a grand, 3-story, ca. 1895 Victorian brick house. The main stairway woodwork was incredible, as were the huge stile-and-rail pocket doors separating the “parlor” from the dining room (15 foot high ceilings). There were several marvelous beveled stained glass windows facing the east and south gracing the house with all the colors of the rainbow. It still had gas light piping (converted to electric) and my 3rd-floor apartment included a bell used to call the hired help who resided therein. It also had a two-story “3-car+ wide” carriage house out back which served nicely as a workshop for me and a couple of other tenants who lived in the house over the years. Inspired by the craftsmanship of house's woodwork led me to deep dive into fine woodworking, too.

Indeed, here in SE Ohio 🎼 It’s beginning to look a lot like SPRING TIME… 🎶

Many of my favorites have already been listed above. Here’s a few more:

Hasta and Poke shoots are awesome and usually appear the same time as the asparagus is ‘shooting’ up.
☠️ POKE CAUTION - make sure you know how to properly prepare them: select shoots less than 6-8” tall, peel the ‘red/purple’ skin off, briefly boil in three changes of the water, etc.
Eggs Benedict anyone...

Dandelion leaf & flowers, natch
Chives (field garlic)

Women’s coveralls and peeing:

Wow! As a man I hadn’t considered the inconvenience for women who need to take a leak. The first thing that jumped to mind was something akin to coveralls with a ‘trap door’ similar to what some long johns have but, alas, that presupposes your under-things have similar provisions

Considering what a pain coveralls can be getting on and off, perhaps separate tops and bottoms might be a viable option
