Hey everyone. This spring, we will have 120 Geese for the first time on our farm, which eventually will become part of an agroforestry system. For now, I am looking for ways on how we can feed them most sustainably. As we do not produce our own fodder that we can store, I am thinking about growing a variety of fodder crops, which the geese can eat when they are freshly grown, hence they can do the harvest themselves. Therefore I am wondering if there is anyone who might have experience with this approach and if yes, with which crops did you work with ? I now did a pre- selection of the following crops; peas, corn, Vicia sativa, Ornithopus sativus and Onobrychis sativa. I am open for any ideas, experiences, suggestions etc.
