Hello permies, I need help with understanding stone basements/foundations. I am currently in the initial design phase of a combined timber frame/stone work home. I have most of the timber frame design worked along side electrical and plumbing solutions. My current problem is that I want to design the ground floor and basement out of stone but I cannot find much information on deep stone foundations. I have watched various videos such as the shallow stone foundations created by Mr. Chickadee and the stone foundation repairs by This Old House, however these do not focus on creating the deep stone foundations I have planned.
Details of my plans: Full sized basement fully below ground for use as cold food storage, wine cellar, and solar panel electrical systems/batteries.
