I purchased three kunekunes from a licensed breeder in Cleveland, where I live. They were 3-months old. My husband and I were excited and prepared a home for them. Despite my best efforts in grooming and caring for them , The three kunekunes died on me.
Both heartbroken and ashamed, I was utterly devastated. Heartbroken, because i did not equip myself with the right knowledge before getting the kunekunes. Ashamed & humiliated, because i let 3 animals die on me and i couldn't bear to listen to the insults I got from other homesteaders.
I've learned enough about kunekunes from this book to begin breeding fresh specimens. I can tell you that it is the best book on kunekunes out there.
I have come to realized that we, humans are not perfect and we should not let our mistake get the best of us. Learning is a continuous process and you should not allow the insults of people get to you because you made a mistake.
This is my story. I acknowledge my mistake and my lack of diligence. I have gotten the right knowledge and now I am ready to try again.
PS: A lot of people have been where I am, please share to them. Let them know that it is okay to make mistake. Let them know that they can learn from the mistake and be a better homesteader.
