Biography
TRAVELING GARDENER / HANDYMAN / CHEF!!!

Presently I'm looking for a Homestead/ Community where I will help, learn, teach, and share experiences with other like-minded men and women. I am loving the idea of working a homestead with friendly, loving, beings. I have many years of gardening experience starting since as a boy helping my grandfather in his garden spanning many decades of gardening experience to my most recent no-till garden I created back in 2020. For the last two years I have focused on learning to grow a large variety of non-traditional mid-western fruits and veggies. To name a few: Elderberries, Sumac, Persimmon trees, paw paw's, mullein, milkweed, ginger root, purslane, ashwagandha, ground cherries, raspberries, and blackberries.

I am 54 years young and have lived a Vegetarian lifestyle for 9 years. I choose this for spiritual and health reasons. I am very healthy and active, and love spending time in nature. Some of my interests include yoga, meditation, astrology, herbalism, mycology, foraging and hiking. I have also acquired some mushroom growing experience over the past five years.

My intention for life is to slow down and live a simpler life. I have officially gotten off the hamster wheel.   I am beginning to see life through a child's eyes again.

In 2018 I sold my house in St. Louis, Mo. And paid off my debts.  I have a 4-year culinary arts degree from Johnson and Wales Univ. I worked in the food service industry for 18 years. I have spent the last 19 yrs. doing home remodeling. I'm a jack of all trades. Now living in a small RV, loving my freedom to move around, looking for a couple choice locations in the US to spend my days working and playing full time in the garden. I look forward to making new friends along the way!

Hello Beautiful people near Maddison Wi,     I am ever so grateful for your invention to join all of you.  I enjoyed reading all about your homestead and family. I prefer to stay in the south where in winters are shorter.  I am so new to this community of lovely beings. I am sure that our creator is looking out for the best interests for all of us. 2020 Update:   It has been a wonderful two years living my new lifestyle in my tiny home. I have traveled extensively through the mid-western states, Gulf States as far south as Florida, Great Lakes area the first summer out. Wintered in Texas in 2019. Now located in Kansas City MO, helping a friend out on her house getting it ready to sell. Other opportunities I have had over the past two years include: Helping a couple of private campgrounds with maintance projects. Working on a horse ranch remodeling the main house and barn. Working with a tile setter in Traverse City MI. Also installed solar panels on my RV. Summer 2019 spent time in Wyoming, Montana, and Colorado. Many amazing experiences and new friends along the way!

2022 Update: Wow what a time we are having. I pulled my rig into the Hot Springs Arkansas area in March of 2020. For the last two and a half years I have assisted a Airbnb owner. She was struggling to keep the house up after her husband passed away in 2019.  Since I have been at her place. I have been responsible for maintaining the grounds. All repairs to the property, cut walking trails throughout her heavily forested back yard which backs up to 100's of acres owned by Mountain Valley Spring Water Company. I created a no till garden here 40ft. By 60ft. Complete with a 6ft. Tall deer fence. Built 2 raised beds which I cover in the winter to supply us with fresh greens throughout the winter months. I Locally sourced bamboo and pine trees to build trellises of all shapes and sizes. I Hand shoved trailer full loads of compost and wood chips. Transformed a portion of the garage into a nursery to raise seedlings as starts for the garden. Most importantly, I have developed a friendship with the owner that could last a lifetime. She has decided to retire, sell her house, and move to South Carolina at this time. With that being said, it is time for me to head on down the trail!
