My dad had amazing results when he stated on two products. Dragon herbs sells a blend called codonopsis and astragalus. It does lower blood pressure, so watch for interactions with blood pressure meds. Dad also started a product at the same time called lung care pro, sold on amazon. While every expensive, I would never dissuade him from it is he dramatically improved after starting both of these at the same time. By dramatic improvement, I meant his oxygen went from 82 to 96 in a couple weeks.

My medicinal garden and cherry tree. I forgot to recommend mullein as it is good for lungs. Its roots can be harvested in year two. The leaves and flowers can be harvested in years one or two. Use any part of the plant in a tea or tincture.

I'd start with dandelion because of its success with cancer, calendula because its pretty and it is good for wound healing, yarrow for wound healing and in tea, lemonbalm for anti-stress tea, rosemary for anti-inflammatory and memory care, and for heart health- grow a hawthorn shrub. Lemongrass is also good for killing off cancer. In Wisconsin it does not over-winter. The others I am able to cover in the winter and they came back.

AI data centers.. All the rage, no? Just was thinking about how the public perceives these data centers versus what their actual purpose is. For instance, the I.T. guy at work believes, even though he really didn't want the one that popped up in his town, perhaps it is probably necessary with all of the people using data these days. Unfortunately, that is not what their actual purpose is. It is to obtain data. Once AI collects enough data, the jobs you and I do to make our measly livings will start to disappear. Take graphic artist as one job that is already going the ways of the dodo. You just go to google AI or Microsoft AI and say, create a new ad for whatsit burgers and boom, done. But even more alarming is the information already obtained to replace the jobs of computer programmer, accountant, engineer, lawyer, teacher, writer, doctor, etc etc. Nearly all jobs will be done using AI. That leaves the question, where will people get money? If you listen to Elon Musk, we'll all be drinking mojitos in our backyards, without a care in the world. I will tell you, that is not going to happen. Our governments can scarcely keep up our social security program that we've already funded. You really think they are going to fund every one on earth? No, this is where the government will have their much-wanted "complete control over everyone". My suggestion, to safeguard your future, is to become self sufficient. Quit worrying about obtaing the best house. Worry about obtaining a home that can sustain itself. Become off-gridable. Make a rainwater catchment system. Build a greenhouse off the side of your house. Rocket mass heaters are a really good idea. Earth-covered root cellars for food storage are great. Solar panels will ensure some comfort in dark times. Use your greenhouse for a little income or bartering. Get your 50 year hugelkulture built and grow something. Start a humanure "willow feeder".  Learn, not just keeping chickens, learn creating chickens from chickens. People don't realize that the backyard flock they purchased at the hatchery will only lay eggs for a couple years and then they will be nothing more than a pet. Think bigger than that. The best thing to use AI for right now is as a tool in planning your future for the time when AI ensures there is no future, if that makes sense. It does to me. I sometimes feel I am the only one who sees the writing on the wall. I don't want to give anyone stress, but I would like people to pause and reflect on what would happen to their household if the jobs suddenly became scarcer than they were during the great depression. (If you are not familiar with the great depression, I'd suggest using AI for that.)  If we become prepared, then we will be in a situation where we can help others.
I buy Dewalt but not from Menards. Menards = cheaply made products. You'd be better off with harbor freight.

Cinnamon Queens are a highly superior breed for my Wisconsin climate. They are genuinely nice birds, and they are hearty healthy chickens. Good layers too. They are my favorite chickens. Rhode island reds are mean to each other and not as good in the cold. Feisty little things.

Soapmaker here. I have dabbled in the selling of my soap. Not a big profit in it however. You need to charge quite a bit for one bar if you want to make a profit. Therefore, I primarily make it to give as gifts and for our household use as soap, shampoo and laundry soap.

Thank you for sharing your story. It is important to think these matters through and not rush to conclusions. Sorry about the hepatitis in your birds. These birds are such a blessing. I dont like to lose even one.

Hi! We had "Flat Jacks" which was found in any old Country Stars cookbook, this particular recipe submitted by The Statler Bros. It is Pillsbury grand biscuits peeled apart and spread out to cover the bottom of a cake pan. Then brown hamburger and onion and add bbq sauce. Cover biscuits in cake pan. Top with slices of cheddar cheese and bake.
