I am a automotive tech. However. I would calculate the wight of the each 1/2 door and use the size vector below ( shadow ) × tge hight = the feet of side beams stay off thd ground to cary the wight of tge each 1/2 door . Vector calculus. Now, I would use grommets and springs , stoppers , just like what you see on a truck doors to use for lasting , wibberting , smooth opening or closing. Make sure to leave some games to adjust the vertical so if you let tge door go , it goes slow and nicely toward its rest point .
