Did you ever build one, I'm in SW Michigan on the house and barns of an old farmstead. There are mourning doves nesting in the woods near us and at least three of the amish farmers within 3 miles of me keep pigeons. I tend to underestimate the time to do any project but have a spot that would be good for a dovecote.
