I was gifted about 6 small Jerusalem Artichokes plants last year by my brother and after digging them up to replant, tilling the garden and expanding, I must not have dug up everything because after tilling I now have an area about 14 feet by 25 feet that must have about 1000 plants coming up. I dug some of them up and put them in pots and sold a few to other around the area but I need to find a place that might like these. I initially got them as they are known as a good prepper crop since they grow very well, are disease and drought resistant and are one of the highest calorie per acre plant. Not only that unless you know what they are you would probably think they are just a weed so if your garden got raided these would most likely be passed over. Sort of joking but sort of not. Anyway, I have been trying to find others who might like some of these as they have exploded, and that was after I replanted the tubers I dug up and moved to another area of the garden. For those that grow these what do you do with them and do you find many others who like to purchase them or do the plants sell well at farmers markets in early spring?
