Hello everyone, we are building a 2nd hugel in Berkeley, yay! I have an assortment of logs , 7 month old acacia, 4 yr old oak, 5 yr old fremontadendron, (so?) super old plum with mitocobfia and well shrooms from back yard smaller stick mostly oak some plum ,
I guess we’ll use leaf matter we have acacia ,*or magnolia, then we’re gonna use kiwi branches that are very dry,
We have city compost , some bagged soil a pal has com a friend has chicken coop poop composted and other compost he is donating from his farm. I want to get some basic dirt stuff we dug out Founation dirt hard clay maybe put in bottom layer , This bed is gonna be planted hopefully by next weekend seedling so when the kids come back to school they lol be picking carrots Vegis and the pin cushion seedlings are on er way I got calendula seeds etc. can I use spent collard leaf as greens ( grass) Okay thank you!
