I also live in the bay area, and my family has a rural off-grid property in coastal Mendocino County where I go for a long weekend each month to work on various projects. It is a historic farm and homestead that I am restoring. Currently we have a garden and orchard but no livestock. 40 acres of redwoods and meadows, and a small section of creek.
