Forest steward on 20 acres, making biochar from what the forest sheds. It's a fire-adapted landscape, so I'm working with fire rather than against it, using char to handle thinning debris and fuel load on my own land. That led me to found FlameWise, where we build flat-pack, tool-free kilns that one person can run. I'm here to learn from this community, swap notes on forest fuel reduction and getting char into soil, and share results from my own land, including what hasn't worked. Full disclosure: I make kilns, so I'm biased.
