My tinyhouse stays warm in the cold winter for sure. As long as I use the woodstove properly. But with a woodstove you have several hours without any heat being produced due to sleep so then the temperature drops but thats just fine in my opinion. But if you want to have a quick fix o this `problem` you can have a big pot of water on the stove that acts as a radiator during the night. Works fairly well but ofc depending on your insulation.

The wagon weighs app. 4 to 5 tons.

@Pupausis: That wagon you linked cant weigh that much. But I think you can get a real weight on it if you google around a bit. Looks like one of Dan Louche`s wagons but Im not sure.

In sweden you need a permit Bygglov for any building that you live in fulltime. But thats just if you get reported from a angry neighbour or such. So stay friends and you can live on the cheap on a farm or the like.

Yeah its a pretty big step up in size for sure The other wagon I lived in can fit inside of this one

My background is that I`ve worked as a carpenter at building sites for 12 years so building small houses isn`t really a challenge in that perspective. What I have learned this build is a lot of insight into the different aspects of living small. And I learn more and more from the different builds. I helped my friends out with their builds but let them build as they wanted. Its fun to see how different they turned out

Questions are welcome

If youu use google translate to translate the whole page maybe you can learn some of the answers at my swedish blog: http://attlevadetlevandelivet.wordpress.com/

Im on the 60latitude so not that far north in sweden really. But the village is on a northslope(height difference 150m) so its really cold here. In the darkest winter the sun hardly reaches the village. Im in Dalarna if you know about it? Glad you ike it!

So this is my latest tinyhousebuild. Its pretty well insulated. 20cm in walls and floor and 25cm in the roof. It gets down to minus 30 degrees celsius here in the winter so good insulation is a must. Please let me know what you think or if you have any questions.
