Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of planning a small cabin build and am considering using Shou Sugi Ban for the exterior cladding. I've read about its benefits, such as fire resistance and durability, but I'm still weighing the pros and cons of doing it myself versus purchasing pre-charred boards. Has anyone here used Shou Sugi Ban in their projects? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially regarding the long-term maintenance and how it holds up in various climates. I'm exploring different suppliers and so far considering TimberSol , but before jumping in, would like some insight. Has anyone used their products or have trusty suppliers to recommend? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
