Hello everyone,
I’ve been reading through the propagation forums and learning a lot about cloning and
Seed starting. It’s been a great resource for my own garden.
I’m currently refining my setup, but I kept running into the same problem: trying to calculate exactly how many containers or cuttings I can fit into my nursery space without overcrowding them, or figuring out how much soil/media I need to prepare. I didn't want to just guess and waste resources.
To solve this for myself, I wrote a bit of code to create a simple calculator to handle the spacing and quantity math. It’s been saving me a lot of time in the planning phase.
I wanted to share it here to see if it might be useful for others:

It’s a side project, so I’m sure there are things I’ve missed that you experienced growers would know about. If you have a minute, I’d really appreciate your thoughts on it—is there a specific measurement or propagation factor I should add to make this more useful for a real-world nursery setup?
Thanks for all the knowledge I’ve already gained from this community!
