I have been trying to come up with a way to incorporate an RMH into my very small (998sqft) pier and beam house. I watched the video of Erica Wisner here...
and am now considering building the thermal mass under the house. I would like to see a follow up video of that project if possible. How efficient is the thermal mass under the house instead of inside the house? I would like to build my RMH in a similar manner as this one, but before I cut a hole in the floor and start dragging buckets of cob up under my house I would like to find these things out. Also, If I were to build the Thermal Mass a.k.a. bench in the house how much shoring up of the floor beams/joists would be needed to hold the weight of all that cob? I hate to reinvent the wheel or to do this the hard way...you know, work smarter not harder, so any help would be very much appreciated.
