This looks to me a very interesting project.
I am looking into 'biochar' to fertilize and put carbon back into the soil.
I have just joined this forum after finding a project by Dale Hodgins about building cob heater link:

I have a fantasy of heating a community building/hostel with a big cob/rocket heater and incorptrating a biochar retort in the structure but outside the occupied envelope of the building.
Has anybody else done anything like this?
Dale how has this great project progressed?
